Adam Heck’s Outreach Module, Gene Expression in Stem Cells.  Adam’s work with students at Rocky Mountain High School in Spring 2016 has been turned into a Data Nugget. Julia Labadie’s research is on genetic risk factors for canine lymphoma. Julia designed a lecture and in-class activity to demonstrate the use of chi-square analysis to analyze her genetic data. She conducted this activity in Marcy Lewis’s math class at Poudre High School in fall 2015 and 2016. It was a great opportunity for students to see how math is used in research and to practice with a real dataset.
